We are a family who have lived our passion for framing for decades. For us, this work is far more than just a job – it's part of our family history. Every frame that leaves our workshop carries a piece of us within it: our love of detail, our pride in craftsmanship, and the desire to preserve memories for our customers.
Our Story
Over 40 years ago, Lucia Studerus founded our framing business. With great passion, experience, and a keen eye for aesthetics, she laid the foundation for our family business. Over the years, various family members have actively contributed, helping to transform a small shop into a true community. Today, we continue this tradition – and everyone who works with us becomes part of this family, whether related or not.
Many of our customers have been with us for years, some even for generations. Their loyalty and the trust they place in us are a special gift and part of the history of our family business.
Our Craft
For us, framing is more than a service – it's an art that demands experience, precision, and creativity. Every artwork tells its own story and deserves a frame that protects it, highlights it, and underscores its character. We pay attention to every detail: from the carefully selected mat and the appropriate type of glass to the perfect frame that optimally enhances the artwork's impact.

Our Shop
Since our beginnings, we have been an integral part of the town of Rapperswil. We started on November 4, 1986, as Rahmenatelier Märtgass in the Marktgasse, right in the heart of Rapperswil's old town. In 2006, we moved to the Schmiedgasse and changed our name to Rahmenatelier & Galerie im Bild. In July 2024, the business was officially passed on to the next generation and is now run by Angela Widmer under the name im bild Einrahmungen .
In our workshop, we take the time for personal consultation. Thanks to our diverse range of high-quality frames, passe-partouts, and glass types, we can find the perfect combination for every project – classic, modern, or tailored specifically to your requirements.
